Almost finished No light in the dark and I'm indulging in some last-minute procrastination because when it's finished I'll have to stop being a total Merlin fangirl.
This is what I sound like when I'm a Merlin fangirl, by the way:
Anyway...
Okay, so I should go and write the last bit. Might as well enjoy being Merlin's biggest fan while I still can.
PS - there's a bunch more stuff from NLITD in my PPT on the JanNo forums if anyone wants to read more.

Last bit of JanNo done! I ended it on 95,302.
Now I just have my zombie sci-fi side project and planning for FebNo. I hate the side project, though - Michael, the MMC, is too much of a crybaby and it's tedious waiting for him to grow up enough to be useful.
Anyway, planning. As of now I have 28 hours. Plenty of time.

Yeah! And now you work on that, even though you don't want to. And yes, that is plenty of time!

*sigh*
Siana is planning... Well, sort of. Oops, she's talking about heerself in third person again.
*perspective switch*
I have about two pages of notes now, four characters (three of them named) and an opening scene. The unnamed character is currently nicknamed Annoyling (no, that's not a typo). He's about 15/16 and thinks Leora looks too much like a boy to have a girl's name.
The opening scene is cool. It's Oskar getting to go all 'action movie' on a bunch of bad guys.
:couch: It's 3pm - only 9 hours to go...
Oh, the couch was on FebNo, wasn't it?

Couch is febno. But If I find it, I'll add it to the smilies when I get around to that And sounds like a weird nickname, but I like weird Good luck with FebNo!

Well, Dispersion definitely isn't coming as easily as No light in the dark did.
I miss Merlin... Maybe he could have a sequel one day.
Oskar is awesome, though. Taran (formerly Annoyling) is annnoying as hell, but a lot of fun to write about. Mya and Leora are busy setting me up a love triangle by falling instantly in love with Oskar. I've already killed about a hundred anonymous idiots ;D. I also let someone shoot Leora in the head for some reason...

And that sounds like fun besides not coing as easily And shooting in the head? Is she ok?

Yeah, Leora is okay - the bullet just grazed her head. Lots of blood and she was out cold for a couple of hours, but... well, she'll be okay soon, anyway.

Must not forget Leora's head wound...
In other news, my side project is now over 25k. It's kind of zombie horror crossed with epic space adventure and the main characters are a secret agent (Taylor - MFC), the head of an interplanetary mining company (Michael - MMC), MMC's secretary (Dani) and MMC's little sister (Brianna) who is really his daughter (MMC slept with his stepmother).
This is Michael, by the way. Taylor is under cover as Michael's new assistant and she's talking with Dani on her first day at work.
After that therre's this thing called the Blue Circle project, the good guys get thrown in prison, the planet is zombiefied and the good guys are rescued by the Cult of Spellbinders. The plot is kind of alternating between stuff about the Blue Circle and stuff about the zombie apocalypse that's spreading from planet to planet. MIchael is in love with Taylor, but she's kind of having an identity crisis so their relationship is very awkward and tentative.
Then today Taylor got stabbed...

Well, the side project is nowhere near finished... but I'm going to have to get up the courage to share some stuff eventually, aren't I?
While I go looking for the wizard to make me braver, this turns out to be the backstory of Michael Waycross, possible hero of Blade's Edge, the zombies-in-space thing. I had no idea he was so sarcastic. I mean, I knew he was a sadist and a tease and could be a crybaby sometimes (thankfully he got over that), and I guess he's got a right to be bitter...
PS - 'Aster' is Michael's way of solving Taylor's identity crisis. he wanted to call her Dream Girl, but the other characters all kept laughing at him. Also, they're in a hospital room in this scene because she's still recovering from the stabbing.

I gave my '10 nano and my vampire story to my parents yesterday. Now I just have to sit around waiting for them to read them and find out how insane I really am.
*is nervous*
Actually, I'm really worried that they'll say it's all lame and boring and why did I waste all that time...
*is really, really, really nervous*
So, today I submerged myself in Oskar and Leora's world and things got kind of intense there, so now I'm in that weird mood I get after intense writing and I can't settle down to the side project even though I really should have written a k or so on it today. I wrote just under 4k of Dispersion, though, so I might let myself off the hook. Probably not, though - there's still 30 mins before midnight...

Yes Lou, you can have stories. I've got frozen tear and the vampire story listed on swaps now and (I guess) no light in the dark is soon to follow...
In other news, Michael has descended into soap-opera-ness:
